Someone I look up too.

My mother, sister and I woke up very early that pleasant Saturday morning for a reason I did not know. I was 4 years old and I always looked up to my sister so I didn't mind because I was with her. We went to eat breakfast at IHOP. My mom and sister were talking about all they needed to that day before tonight, I asked what was going to happen tonight and all they would say was it was a big day for my sister.

After we left from IHOP we went to a hair salon called Visible Changes where my sister had received the most beautiful up do. After getting her hair done we went next door to Merle Norman to get her make-up done she was very beautiful that day, I remember her looking just like a china doll. I still didn't understand why she was getting all dressed up and no one else was. After she had everything done we went back home where I watched her put on this elegant gown. She looked amazing and I was jealous that she was all dressed up. After a while we were at our house more girls and boys were showing up dressed very nice that day.

My sister and all of her friends started lining up outside taking pictures together in their gowns and dates that they had. I was still very jealous that all of them were dressed up and I wasn't. So while everyone was busy taking pictures outside I ran inside the house and put on my little red dress. It was my favorite dress out of all the one's I had. After putting on the dress and my dress shoes I ran outside and started taking pictures with everyone since I was dressed up. My sister was getting ready for prom that day and I'll never forget finally getting to dress up with my sister.

  1. I imagine your story reflects a common fantasy for young girls.

  2. This is funny, because my little sister did this for my homecoming night.

  4. Aww, what a sweet memory. I love how you got all dolled up just like your sister to take pictures with her and her friends. That's a great memory to remember, and especially how you look up to your sister.
